Welcome to Consolidated Rural Water District #3, Shawnee County

We have a main water line break at 62nd & SW Wanamaker Rd.

Established in 2004, Consolidated Rural Water District No. 3 serves 1,166 benefit units over 70 miles of 1 1/2" through 16" water pipeline in Southern Shawnee County west of Topeka.  But with roots in the area going back to 1959, we are committed to providing clean drinking water to Kansas families.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced changes to the drinking water regulations that require public water suppliers to gather data on their patron’s plumbing.  The water supplier needs to identify all construction materials used on both the supplier and the customer’s side of the water meter, which means we need your help.  We are now required under the new drinking water regulations to send surveys to all customers asking that they complete and return this survey form.  Please return to CRWD#3 by March 1st, 2023.  If the required information cannot be gathered from the homeowner the EPA may require the water supplier to excavate private lines in order to identify them.  A copy of this survey can be found under the news and information tab.

E-mail billing is now available. Call the office at 785-862-3305 or email twiltz@crwd3snco.com to enroll.

Monthly board meetings have been moved to 6 pm the first Wednesday of each month.

No Water in Your Home

1.     Check all faucets including your outside hydrant.  If you have no water in your kitchen, but normal pressure and volume in your bathroom, you should call a plumber.

2.     If you are experiencing a sudden loss of pressure and volume in all the faucets of your home, call the office at (785) 862-3305. The pressure decrease could be caused by a break in the water main or a break in one of your service lines.  Pursuant to the District By-Laws, the line from the meter to the house is the homeowner's responsibility.

Suspicious Activity - Please call the office at (785) 862-3305 to report any suspicious activity that you witness.  This includes activity near the water mains, fire hydrants, water towers or booster pump stations.
